3 lb. (1.5 kg) Nova Scotia sirloin tip, round or rump roast
1 cup hot water
Method
- Combine seasonings and rub into roast. Place in roasting pan and roast, uncovered, in 500°F (260° C) oven for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° F (160°C); add water to pan and cook, covered, for 40 minutes longer. If roast is larger than 3 lb (1.5 kg), allow an additional 10 minutes per 1/2 lb (250 g).
